The 2021 Scholarship Application is now available!
The deadline for submitting the application is June 18, 2021 by 5:00 pm. Applications will NOT be accepted after this date.
This scholarship is awarded annually to support dependents of UCTA North Texas Chapter members in pursuit of a post high school academic degree. The scholarship program is funded based on proceeds from the annual golf and clay shoot tournaments and the current financial standing of the UCTA North Texas Chapter.
Historically the UCTA North Texas Chapter has been able to award annual scholarships of up to $1,000 to selected applicants best able to demonstrate probability of success.
Eligibility: Applicants must be:
Dependent child of a UCTA North Texas Chapter member in good standing (i.e. individual, corporate, or municipality dues paid as of the application deadline). Dependent child is defined as a natural, legally adopted or stepchild of the Chapter member.
Graduating high school senior (entering college freshman in Fall 2021), current full-time undergraduate student planning to continue full-time college attendance (24 credit hours per 12 month period), or a student entering or continuing a full-time graduate program (12 credit hours per 12 month period).
Existing scholarship recipients must reapply annually and compete with all other applicants for award. Recipients are limited to no more than four (4) years of financial assistance.
An applicant’s eligibility shall not be determined based on sex, race, religion, or relationship to board members. There are no restrictions for the field of study or degree program.

The purpose of the Underground Construction Technology Association (UCTA) is to promote education; training; research and development; information concerning traditional, trenchless and rehabilitation technology; and to promote the use of these technologies. UCTA serves to advance the science and practice of installing, repairing, maintaining, and replacing utility lines, as well as related facilities through construction and rehabilitation techniques. This also includes municipal water, sewer, wastewater, gas distribution, oil/gas transmission and gathering lines, telephone, electric, and cable systems.
