The 2020 UCTA North Texas Chapter Scholarship Program is now closed. Stay tuned for the 2021 Program Announcement!
The scholarship program is open to the dependents of UCTA North Texas Chapter members who are graduating high school seniors (entering college freshman in Fall 2020), current full-time undergraduate students planning to continue full-time college attendance (24 credit hours per 12 month period), and students entering or continuing a full-time graduate program (12 credit hours per 12 month period). An applicant’s eligibility shall not be determined based on sex, race, religion, or relationship to board members. Existing scholarship recipients must reapply annually and compete with all other applicants for award. Recipients are limited to no more than four (4) years of financial assistance.
Historically the UCTA North Texas Chapter has been able to award annual scholarships of $1,000 to selected applicants best able to demonstrate probability of success.

Due to limited funding, applications must be selected on a competitive basis. Applications will be rated on academics, quality of the discussion paper and probability of the completion of the applicant’s chosen academic program. Probability of program completion is scored based on the applicant’s academic classification in regard to completion of the student’s degree (e.g. college senior applicants receive more points than a college freshman). A scholarship committee comprised of UCTA chapter board members will score all eligible applications based on these three categories and applicants with the highest total composite scores selected. Both the applicant’s and member’s names are withheld from the committee until final selection is made.
